Anew "What makes a man ?" is the question asked by philosopher and psychologist Rădulescu-Motru. His answer: "The power of the intellect, the courage to accept responsibility, and the readiness to serve." This sentence traces back to an old text with commentary by medieval philosopher Aristotle. The proverb "a light shines in the darkness" refers as well as Rădulescu-Motru's words are drawn from it. I think that these three qualities will put this world on a new path where people can live without being threatened or subordinated by other views or individuals. Intellect - Knowledge, in general, is the best source of joy. The ability to distinguish between good and bad makes it possible for man to improve and develop. Truth and Falsehood - Words, thoughts and ideas that guide us step by step in the development of our personality, that we need to keep accompanied us accompanied through life's journey. Courage - This quality along with decision-making is a very important human quality we must have in order to achieve things here on earth. Knowledge without action leads nowhere, so does action without knowledge. Responsibility - Man has the ability to choose between good and bad over time either by deeds or words. He may live as a slave or as a master of his life and destiny by making these choices. Rădulescu-Motru was the first to formulate and develop in modern times and in Romanian philosophical thinking, the concept of personality as a power, as a surface that is wider than the individual's life. Therefore, man is not only an individual, but he is an integrated whole. This concept of personality led him to working on other concepts related to it: will, action , duty , etc. Rădulescu-Motru's philosophy was the foundation of his work in many fields, in particular in theoretical studies on psychology, sociology, anthropology and pedagogy. He taught at the University of Bucharest, the University of Cluj and Gheorghe Asachi High School. He was a noted pedagogue and contributed a great deal to the development of Romanian secondary education. In his writings, Rădulescu-Motru made a valuable contribution to the development of Romanian pedagogy, as well as to the theory and practice of education as a discipline. In his overall approach to education, he emphasized the overall development of each individual. In addition, he believed that human beings are not simply products of "the environment", but also agents who can transform it. He also advocated for a pedagogy that could respond to the needs of different individuals at different levels of development, based on an understanding of what humans actually are and what they can become. cfa1e77820
